MR25 Racing Quad – Q & A


Airframe

a. MR25 motor with adjustable angle design, please make sure four motor tilt angle is 0 degree.
b. Implement APP gyro calibration function.
Attention! Firmware and software(APP) must be V1.2 or more.

a. Check if propeller is installed at correct direction.
b. Check if motor and ESC wire connection is installed with correct color cable.

a. Check if four motor is level installed at 0 degree tilt angle.
b. Check for proper balance on CG point.


Transmitter

1. Make sure your transmitter is set on airplane(Acro)
2. Make sure your frame rate is 11ms.
3. Make sure you have connected your satellite on your MR25 before binding.
4. Otherwise, remove your APP from your phone and download again.
If you still cannot solve your problem, please try to update your Spektrum that released a new update to their Airware firmware – version 1.04.

Please set the Spektrum transmitter’s frame rate to 11ms to try again. Also make sure all your APP and firmware are latest version, also the setting and connection are correct.

a. Abnormal Power-ON
b. Check if receiver is connected.
c. Check if proper receiver type is selected in APP setting.
d. Check if throttle position is at the lowest position also check if “Motor Arm” function is at “OFF” position.

Check if CH5 switch function is well assigned to APP system correspondingly also check if “Motor Arm” function is at “ON” position.


APP

Please refer to manual page 43, there are 3 flight modes: Atti, Manual, Manual-Normal & Sport 3D, make sure you choose the right one before flying.
MRS App system is really convenient to adjust your gain setting via phone (Android/iOS), only Align offer App system for parameter adjustment, easy and fast. More information as below:

Flight Control

Check to decrease aileron and elevator gain value in flight mode function.

Check to decrease speed limit gain value in flight mode function until it matches your control feel.

Check to increase aileron & elevator maximum angle gain value.

Check to decrease return speed gain value in flight mode function to keep stable video.


IMU

a. MR25 motor with adjustable angle design, please make sure four motor tilt angle is 0 degree.
b. Implement APP gyro calibration function.
Attention! Firmware and software(APP) must be V1.2 or more.

Use APP gyro calibration function to correct the gyro.
Please note that during calbration MR25 must be completely still placed on the flat plane or it will affect the calibration precision.
If after tuning or APP gyro calibration still cannot solve it, the IMU’s gyro on PCB may damaged. Please replace a new IMU and redo gyro calibration.

Please be noted, must do the calibration at horizontal level plate/ground. If any drift after calibration, please check if the four motor is at correct angle position(0 degree). If not, please adjust the angle and re-calibrate for next flying. If the motor angle are all in correct position(0 degree), but still having serious drifting problem in Atti. Mode, the reason might be caused by damaged Gyro function in IMU, so please check and replace for new IMU PCB.


DV

If you couldn’t set up DV with App or record a video with your transmitter, it is most likely you set up your 2 pin joint in the wrong direction. Be careful about the correct 2 pin Tx/Rx joint direction (see picture below.) Setting them in the wrong direction will affect App setting and DV controlling! Keep in mind that if you meet these problems, check whether 2 pin Tx/Rx joint direction is wrong first.

The vibration problem might due to the wrong flight mode you choose, please refer to manual page 43, there are 3 flight modes: Atti, Manual, Manual-Normal & Sport 3D, make sure you choose the right one before flying. If the vibration is caused from the gimbal, pls. refer to page 35 – Gimbal Setting for more information.

Please enter to the MRS App system “Setup Information” first section, and press “Reset” for gimbal function.


Main Circuit Board

Allow to clean and maintain MR25 PCB by using special cleaner such as high-pressure air filter or air guns…etc. to remove dust, grass or dry the moisture from MR25 surface.

MR25 with precision high-end circuit board design, please pay attention to keep MR25 surface clean and maintenance after every flight. Make sure to be aware of flying environment, not to fly in moisture or turbid air to prevent any dust or water vapor from MR25. For any adhered substance attached to main PCB will cause short circuit board, MOS burn up or motor burn up; so it’s important make sure to check and clean MR25 main PCB regularly.

MR25 with highly intelligent integrated circuit board design, built-in protection design can avoid ESC burn up when motor rotor is locked.
